Swaledale, from Reeth |

Reeth makes an excellent start & finish to this route. There's a choice of pubs serving food, plus cafes & ice cream shops. This is repeated in Gunnerside & Muker, with other hostelries scattered along the route, including the highest public house in England at Tan Hill. You may of course want to take along a picnic & stop off by the river Swale, or high on the moor or in quieter Arkengarthdale near the end of the route. |

Experienced cyclists may want to tackle this route but be warned - the climb up to Tan Hill isn't a leasurely journey & you need to be quite fit. You can of course get off & push. However, you'll enjoy the long ride downhill back to Reeth! |
