The route crosses the Grand Union canal several times, passing the Pitstone Windmill & through the woodlands of the Ashridge Estate, with its monument to the Duke of Bridgewater, the pioneer of canals in Britain. |

|
On the way, Ivinghoe & Aldbury (famous for its morris men) provide some picture postcard village scenes. The route ends in the quiet village of Studham, south of Dunstable. Although quiet, it still manages to support two pubs - suitable locations to rest after the journey. |
