Tring to Studham. |
Tring is located 5 miles east of Aylesbury, on the A41. Just north of the town are the four reservoirs that keep the Grand Union Canal topped up with water. They are a National Nature Reserve & a haven for wildlife. |

The route crosses the Grand Union canal several times, passing the Pitstone Windmill & through the woodlands of the Ashridge Estate, with its monument to the Duke of Bridgewater, the pioneer of canals in Britain. On the way, Ivinghoe & Aldbury (famous for its morris men) provide some picture postcard village scenes. |
The route ends in the quiet village of Studham, south of Dunstable. Although quiet, it still manages to support two pubs - suitable locations to rest after the journey. |
