This route isn't really in the Vale of Pickering - its across the northern Yorkshire Wolds, from the historic village of Stamford Bridge to the well kept village of Sledmere.

Vale of Pickering - Backroads

Starting on foot with a few questions to answer at Pickering Steam Railway Station, this driving route then proceeds down narrow country lanes passing through several villages & hamlets before reaching the picturesque village of Thornton Le Dale.
