Route Location

Barnard Castle, Family Day Out.
A short exploration of the historical market town of Barnard Castle. This route is designed for youngsters under 13. The route circles the castle, although you do not need to go in. Worth a visit, though.
Less than 1 mile (about 2 hours)	Crypticness: 20%

Durham Town Centre.
This route starts & finishes in the market square, calling by the cathedral before wondering off down to and across the river Wear. Durham is perched on top of a hill surrounded on three sides by the river Wear. This route involves a couple of steepish climbs up cobblestone streets.

Durham City Cryptic.
The historical university town of Durham provides a great location for a Clues To Go challenge. This route starts & finishes in the market square, calling by the cathedral before wondering off down to and across the river Wear.
Approx 1.5 miles (2-3 hours)	Crypticness: 65%

Lower Teesdale
This route starts in the small village of Cockfield, west of Bishop Auckland. It covers a relatively short journey up to Middleton in Teesdale and then back south to finish in Barnard Castle.
27 miles (Approx 3 hours)	Crypticness: 35%

Sedgefield to Bishop Auckland
A very short route in the County of the Prince Bishops, Durham. Starting in the charming small town of Sedgefield, there is a short drive through some local villages before finishing in Bishop Auckland, home of the Bishop of Durham. The majority of the answers are to be found by walking around Sedgefield & Bishop Auckland.  To make the journey between the two towns interesting, there are several other questions to be answered en-route.
